Who we are

Local Home Upgrades (localhomeupgrades.com) is a brand of RefinedGrowth, LLC, a Kansas limited liability company (“we,” “us”). We book free in-home estimates between homeowners and independent local contractors. We are not a contractor. Questions about this policy: hello@localhomeupgrades.com.

What we collect

What you tell us: the project you want, your ZIP code, your name, your phone number and whether you agree to get texts.
Forms on other sites: if you send a request through one of our ad forms (for example on Facebook or Instagram), we get the details you choose to send in that form. We text you only if you separately agree to texts from Local Home Upgrades.
Our calls and texts with you: notes about your request, the time you pick and messages you send us.
Basic technical data: your IP address (used to block spam and abuse) and campaign tags in the link you clicked, which tell us which ad brought you here.

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

How we use it

To set up your estimate and call you about your request.
To text you about your request, only if you checked the texting box (for example to schedule, confirm or remind you).
To keep records, prevent spam and fraud, and follow the law.

Who we share it with

One local contractor. We send your request (name, phone, ZIP code and project) to one independent contractor who serves your area and does that kind of work, so they can arrange and give you the estimate you asked for. This does not give that contractor permission to text you.
Service providers that run our website, phone and text messaging, and scheduling for us. We share your information with them only so they can provide those services.
When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share your text messaging opt-in data or consent with contractors or anyone else for their own use. We may share it with providers that help us deliver our text messages, only to provide that service.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any text to stop getting texts. Reply HELP for help.
Email hello@localhomeupgrades.com to ask what we have about you, to fix it, or to delete it. We may need to confirm who you are first.
You never have to hire the contractor, and you can cancel your estimate at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while we handle your request and as long as we need it for our business and legal records. We may keep a record that you asked us to stop texting, so we keep honoring it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure.

Children

This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
