What we do
Local Home Upgrades is a brand of RefinedGrowth, LLC, a Kansas limited liability company. We are a booking service, not a contractor. When you send a request, we try to book an in-home estimate for you with one independent contractor who serves your area. We do not do the work, give estimates, set prices or guarantee any contractor’s work. Contractors pay us for setting up estimates. Our service is free for homeowners.
The estimate and any work
The contractor gives the estimate and decides what it includes. You never have to hire them. If you do, your agreement, price, warranty and payment are only between you and the contractor. Please check any contractor’s license, insurance and references before you hire them.
Your request
Give us true and current details, and only request an estimate for a home you own or are allowed to make changes to. You agree that we may share your request with one contractor as described in our Privacy Policy, and that we or that contractor may call you at the number you gave us about your request.
Text messages
If you check the texting box, you agree to get text messages from Local Home Upgrades about your estimate request, such as scheduling, confirmations, reminders and updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop at any time; reply HELP for help, or email hello@localhomeupgrades.com. Agreeing to texts is not required to get an estimate. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No warranty and limits
Our service is provided “as is.” We do not promise that a contractor will be available, or any result, price or quality of work. The contractor is responsible for its estimate and any work you agree to. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the acts of any contractor. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law does not let you give up.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Kansas, except where the law of your state says otherwise. We may update these terms; the new version applies from the date shown above.
